There's a New Bird in my Backyard!
I really love Spring. I can open the sliding door again and let in some fresh air. The sunshine beckons me to sit outside. I don't feel like a member of a monastery anymore. I'm free!!! LOL
I was outside Saturday with my dog. I kept hearing a bird song that I knew was not normal to our backyard. The bird was in our avocado tree but I couldn't see it.
Later in the day, I was talking to a neighbor when I heard the song behind me. I told them to hang on a minute while I went to look. Sure enough, there was this little yellow bird sitting on one of the lower branches of the tree next door chirping it's heart out.
We don't have any yellow birds in this neighborhood, so he's either lost or we've got a new breed in town. He's a cute little thing. My neighbor thinks it's a finch. Maybe we'll be seeing little yellow bird babies learning to fly soon.
